Support the Digital Summer School
To ensure that your donation has an even bigger impact, please remember to tick the Gift Aid box and provide your address. This means that for every £1 you give, we’ll get an extra 25p from HMRC at no extra cost to you, helping your donation do so much more.
Please email us (firstname.lastname@example.org) if you have any questions or would like to find out more about how you can support young composers. We’re always open to discussing fundraising ideas!
COVID-19 is having a devastating impact on music education across the country. With schools closed and orchestras and choirs unable to meet in person, many young people have had to put their musical lives on hold.
This year’s Summer School for Young Composers is therefore vital. It will be delivered digitally for the first time, and will provide an inspirational space for young people to develop skills in composing and connect with other likeminded people.
But we need your help. It costs us around £1,000 per student to run the Summer School, but all places are subsidised and bursaries are available to all that need them. Please help us support the next generation of composers by making a donation. Every penny you give will go towards ensuring the Summer School is open and accessible to all, no matter their financial circumstances.
‘I just wanted to express how grateful we feel that you have taken the time and trouble to come up with a re-modelled online version of the course. At a time when so much has been cancelled for musicians and writer of all ages, this has popped up like a proverbial flower in the desert!’ – Summer School Parent
Our Summer School makes a huge impact on all those that attend. Hear firsthand from Ama – one of the Summer School alumni – about how her experiences on the course and the impact it’s had on her work as a composer below.
