Sound and Music
Sound and Music is the national charity for new music in the UK.
Our mission is to maximise the opportunities for people to create and enjoy new music.
Our work includes composer and artist development, partnerships with a range of organisations, audience development, touring, information and advice, network building, and education.
We champion new music and the work of British composers and artists, and seek to ensure that they are at the heart of cultural life and enjoyed by many.
Make a donation to Sound and Music
As a registered charity, Sound and Music receives financial support from Arts Council England and a small pool of committed charitable trusts and foundations however this only makes up part of the whole picture. Every year it is an enormous task to raise the sufficient funds to ensure that we can maintain the high standards of our programme and provide composers and sound artists with the support and resources they need.
Your donation, however small, could make all the difference providing valuable financial support in challenging times for funding in the arts and helping us to build sustainability.
Your support will help every element of the Sound and Music programme – from supporting composers in making their next career step to developing the British Music Collection website for audiences to explore and discover new music.
Sound and Music will receive every penny that you donate and you can even sign up for Gift Aid so that we can claim an extra 25p back for every £1 donated, at no extra cost to you. Thank you!
Please choose one of the suggested amounts or enter a different amount in the box below. You can also email our development team at email@example.com to discuss other ways to donate or get involved.

Please donate to the Steve Martland Bursary Fund
Please help us raise £25,000 to establish the Steve Martland Bursary Fund and provide talented young composers from low income backgrounds with a life-changing opportunity.
Your donation, however small, will make a huge difference and it will go directly towards assisting young people in difficult financial circumstances to attend this transformational course.
Over £9,000 has already been pledged, thanks to an exceptionally generous donation from Sally Groves made in memory of her husband, Dennis Marks. We are looking for others to join Sally and Sound and Music in making this a reality. Will you join us?
